The Footsmith is a respected Pedorthic clinic and custom manufacturer of foot orthotics in Burlington, ON.

A highly qualified, Canadian certified pedorthists, Lisa Irish provides clients with a high level of care. Lisa is also a well-respected educator in the pedorthic field, and sits on the Pedorthic Association of Canada board.

We serve our clients with integrity, and are committed to client care. We offer benefits such as on-site custom manufacturing of orthoses, and custom footwear through our Certified Pedorthic Master Craftsman (C Ped MC).

We treat our clients like family, and offer a hands-on, personal touch. We believe in taking the time and care, and providing the same level of service, that a master craftsperson would.

What is a Pedorthist?

A pedorthist is trained in the design, manufacture, and fit of orthodics or footwear. Pedorthic practitioners are certified by the College of Pedorthics of Canada.

When do I need Pedorthic care?

Your doctor may recommend you to a pedorthist if you are experiencing foot pain, have a condition which may affect your feet or circulation, or have noticed an abnormal wear pattern to your shoes.

How do I get Pedorthic care?

To have the services covered by your insurance, you will need a prescription from your doctor. Most health benefit plans will cover pedorthic care, but it is always best to check with your insurance company.
