We offer a wide range of pedorthic services to help you feel your best. Assessments, custom orthoses, custom footwear are some of the key services we provide. We supply whatever is needed to alleviate your symptoms. Below is a sample of the steps that are taken to let you walk, run and jump pain free.
Assessment
Patients are fully assessed, using the following techniques: physical exam of foot, ankle and lower leg; assessment of footwear; videotaped treadmill gait analysis; three-dimensional casting of foot. We will also ask you questions about your lifestyle, activities, and relevant medical history. Recommendations from your physician will be discussed and considered as well.
On-site manufacturing of custom orthoses
In some cases a minor adjustment of your footwear is all that is needed, in others more drastic action is required, such as custom footwear. In most cases, your symptoms can be alleviated with custom orthoses. We manufacture all of our own orthotics on-site; in fact, other Pedorthic clinics rely on us to manufacture custom orthoses for their clients. Using the casting of your foot, a preliminary cut is made using a computer-controlled grinder, and then final adjustments are made by hand to ensure the proper fit.
Fitting
Once the orthoses are completed, usually less than a week, we will call you to return for a fitting.
Follow-up
Throughout the whole process we will take the time to educate you on what exactly is wrong, and different things that you can do to help with the symptoms.
