Do I need orthotics?
Custom-made orthotics are a discreet medical device that fits inside footwear, enabling the feet to be supported in a more stable position. Maintaining alignment is essential in order to help correct imbalances and reduce stress and strain on the rest of your body. Over time, the use of orthotics may give you relief, reduce and or eliminate a variety of difficulties including:
- Heel pain
- Arch pain
- Forefoot pain
- Lower leg pain or shin splints
- Knee pain
- Hip pain
- Diabetic foot conditions
“To our patients, we are committed to acting with honesty and integrity, providing quality craftsmanship in our products and honoring our commitments.”

Why People Trust Us
Whether you have been referred by a friend, family member, or doctor, or have simply lucked into finding Danielle, you can rest assured that you will be treated without judgement, in strict privacy, and with the utmost of integrity and understanding.
High Quality Orthotics
We manufacture all of our own orthotics in house - they are not milled out in a foreign lab by technicians who have never even seen the patient.
Unmatched Expertise
Having mentored under several craftsmen with over 100 years of combined experience, The Footsmith brings these traditions of excellence to bear.
Precise Diagnosis
Combined with a doctors referral, an extensive interview and evaluation is conducted for each patient. A thorough bio-mechanical assessment including a gait analysis and inspecting wear patterns on existing footwear provide evidence to reach a diagnosis.
Qualified Staff
All clinicians are certified by the Pedorthic Association of Canada and the College of Pedorthists of Canada, who ensures accountability to the highest standards of practice, monitoring of continued competency and enforcement of ethical conduct.
